Houghton Mifflin Harcourt asked us to conceive, design and develop an alphabet learning app for their pre-school audience.
I oversaw the project from start to finish: I managed communication and content between HMH, our New York based artists and the local engineering team; helped plan and scope the app with the creative director; prepared story boards, wrote the voice over script, designed sound effects, and created simple animations out of photoshop artwork.
Working on bespoke children's apps like this has given me a solid grounding in writing clear requirements through user stories, UI flows, and prototypes; and creating delightful and simple user experiences out of sometimes complex patterns.
